Shepherd Woodwork, Inc. was created in 1991 as an offshoot of Shepherd Shutters, Inc., established in the early 60's by Doyle Shepherd, Kent's dad. After years of steady growth, the original building was bursting at the seams and the logical solution at the time was to divide the cabinet door and shutters into two different companies which are both still active today.

It is not often one has the privilege of combining a passion with a profession, but Kent has managed to do that. Never satisfied to remain stagnate, he also does custom one of a kind jewelry boxes, humidors and specialty display boxes for pistols or any other item you have. There is nothing more rewarding than using the natural God-given beauty of wood to create a lasting heirloom.
